Start where the work belongs
For property evidence, open the property and choose Files: upload and organize. For project evidence, open that project's Files area. These entry points keep the intended context visible while you work.
You need permission to write to the destination and sufficient storage allowance. An active eligible property supports the account's storage allowance. Review storage and activation if an upload cannot proceed.
1. Choose the destination
Confirm the property or project before adding files. Where a property target selector is available, choose the appropriate building, unit, area or other record. Use the property itself when the document applies to the whole site.
A roof inspection might belong with the building and its related repair project. A unit-specific inspection should be associated with that unit where appropriate. Do not rely on a filename alone to explain which property a document concerns.
2. Add your files
Drag files into the upload area or use Browse. Review each file's name and progress. Wait for the individual uploads to finish before navigating away. If a file fails, read its status and retry only the failed item where that option is offered.
Upload the evidence you actually want assessed. Avoid unnecessary personal information. Keep original filenames understandable, such as the inspection type and date, without putting sensitive identifiers in public-facing names.
3. Wait for scanning and processing
Upload completion and document readiness are separate steps. A file may remain pending while security scanning runs. Files that are rejected or quarantined are not ready for ordinary use. AI extraction, where supported and enabled, is another processing step after the required checks.
If a file remains pending unusually long, do not repeatedly upload copies. Note the file name and status, then contact support. Unsupported or unreadable documents may require a clearer file or manually entered information.
4. Organize and link the evidence
Create folders for useful groupings such as inspections, permits or maintenance. Use available search and filter controls to find files. Folders organize files; they do not grant access, publish evidence or determine what an assessment may disclose.
Check that the file is linked to the intended property record or project. Linking an existing file creates context; it is not the same action as creating an independent copy for another owner. Unlinking a file and archiving the underlying file are also different actions, so read the action label before proceeding.
5. Review AI-assisted results
Where processing produces findings or suggestions, review them against the original evidence. Confirm dates, scope and factual accuracy before turning suggestions into accepted work. An extracted statement is not a verified inspection result simply because software identified it.
Public property pages do not expose the full file collection. Publishing selected original photos or allowing copies of original documents requires separate disclosure choices.
